This is a beautifully tailored midi skirt with generous pockets. The waistband is shaped to fit the waist comfortably and features a shell button chosen to reflect the tone of the skirt. The organic cotton canvas is medium-to-heavy weight. The inner panel is individually hand screen-printed using burnt Sienna dye, with a pattern depicting the Bernoulli sequence of rational numbers, which Ada Lovelace reproduced in 1836 to create the first calculating algorithm (for Charles Babbage’s mechanical computer). Screen print created by Roger Crouch.
