founder and designer
Shaku Lalvani
shakulalvani was launched in 2023 to create timeless pieces that celebrate crafts from around the world. The goal is to make the wearer feel both comfortable and special.
I've been interested in art, craft, design and fashion since childhood and loved studying art at Goldsmiths, design at Sotheby's and fashion at London College of Fashion. And, I have worked as a visiting tutor on art and design degree courses at Goldsmiths and Central Saint Martins.
I'm excited to share this new brand and hope that the clothes will bring great pleasure to everyone wearing them.
Please look out for techniques such as Indian mirrorwork embroidery, applique, various dye-resist methods, painting, stencilling and screen printing. Some of these techniques are available now, while others are in development.
