This midi wrap-around skirt has wide straps which secure the garment on the waist or hip. The left strap passes through a neat waistband opening over the right hip. The fabric has been individually woven on a foot loom in Guatemala by the Casa Flor Ixcaco women’s collective. The medium weight cloth is formed using Indian cotton thread for the warp, and Guatemalan cotton thread for the weft, giving a wonderfully soft, flowing fabric. The yarn is naturally dyed by Casa Flor Ixcaco craftswomen using the husks of coconut shells that give a warm honey tone.
